I know that I, personally, used to hate to wear anything on my head when it's really hot and sunny out. That meant that I spent most of the summer with a sunburned nose and ears, and I was a real redneck when I had my hair up in a pony tail, which was most of the time.

I think I've found a solution to that problem, without having my head sweat so bad you could see the imprint of the hat band on my hair. I had this idea one day. What if you could design a hat like a building - with vent holes? I don't mean those tiny little grommetted holes like men's hats have, I mean really good sized holes that would let a breeze in and the heat out. Then I saw a piece of Battenburg lace in an old encyclopedia of sewing that I had. It had LOTS of holes, and it was pretty too.

Thus was born the Pierced and Fierce line of hats. They're all stabilized with some form of lightweight fabric inside, tulle, chiffon, organza, etc. They all have nice sized holes that make pretty designs. And they're all really cool - both in temps and in looks - to wear almost any time of the year.

So, roll over the tabs, then click them, and enjoy the Pierced and Fierce line of hats. They're not your Grandma's Church Hat, that's fer sure!
